Open up the binoculars until the right
and left fields of view merge into a circular image.

1.
Line up a far distant object. Cover the
right field lens (5) or close your right
eye. Obtain optimum focus for your left
eye with the central focusing knob (2).

2.
Cover the left lens (6) or close your left
eye. Focus the same object for your
right eye with the lens (5) for single correction.

Caution: Do not use binoculars
to look at the sun. This could lead
to eye injuries.

3.
For further focusing at different
distances use the central focusing
knob (2).
If your Trinovidis used by several persons, note your personal diopter setting on the single correction of the lens
(5). Because of their compactness and
light weight, you should prop the binoculars up with both hands so that the
tips of the bended index fingers lie
alongside your eyebrows. This produces a very steady position and
increases the enjoyment of observation.
Spectacles wearers push the cups
down thus achieving a better view of
the image field.

Remove dust with a soft sable brush or
cotton cloth that has been washed
several times (e.g. handkerchief) or
lens cleaning tissue. Special cleaning
cloths with chemically impregnation
are not recommend. Always keep external surfaces of lenses and eyepieces
clean, since dust, fingermarks, grease
from the eyelashes etc., greatly reduce
brightness and contrast.
Each Leica binoculars has its “personal” serial number engraved on the
eyepiece (1). Make a note of this number. This may be very important in case
of loss.
