Schmidt & Bender CC Mode | Optics Trade Debates

Welcome to Optics Trade debates. In each episode, we talk about a different topic and try to answer the most common questions we receive about it. Today, we are going to talk about Schmidt & Bender CC mode.

Only wide angle riflescopes with 1-8x magnification from Schmidt & Bender feature CC mode.

CC mode stands for close combat. The CC function changes the parallax from 100 meters to 25 meters when the scope is set on 1x magnification.

These scopes work in the same way as all other wide angle riflescopes at higher magnifications. The CC mode is easier to use with both eyes open than other true 1x magnifications because the parallax is lower. The parallax stays at 100 m with all other manufacturers.

The CC mode can be used for hunting and for tactical situations. The function enables better and faster target acquisition.

These scopes basically have an adjustable parallax but with only two presets.

It’s hard to determine which parallax setting is better, the 25 meters or 100 meters. It all depends on the situation and the user.
