Holosun & Primary Arms – ACSS Reticle | Optics Trade Debates

Hello and welcome to another episode of Optics Trade Debates. This video is another in our Holosun video collection as today’s topic focuses on Holosun’s collaboration with the American company Primary Arms.

There is a lot of buzz regarding this company team-up. It makes sense since Holosun’s affordable prices paired with Primary Arms’ advanced and unique reticles make for a winning combination.

Primary Arms’ strongest suit is designing their own reticles. They are unique, completely different from all other manufacturers on the market. They took a standard Holosun Paralow HS503 model and installed an advanced ACSS Primary Arms reticle inside.

The reticle looks like this:

As you can see, this reticle design is something special. Most red dot sights only have a 2 MOA dot in the centre. Compare that to this advanced horseshoe reticle with bullet compensation drops.

The number ‘500’ in Holosun models usually indicates that the user can switch between the standard 2 MOA reticle and the circle dot (a 2 MOA red dot in the centre with a 65 MOA circle around it). The standard HS503G model has an ordinary red dot and a circle dot option.

Now, with the Holosun Paralow HS503G ACSS model, there is no 2 MOA dot to begin with. Instead, the user can opt for a simple roof symbol and it serves almost as a standard dot. In all other aspects, this collaborative model is no different from standard Holosun Paralow HS503 model variants.

Note that due to Primary Arms’ ownership of the reticle patent, Holosun Paralow HS503G ACSS model can only be purchased via the American company and it cannot be sold directly by Holosun.

It’s unlikely that this HS503G ACSS model would be the last we hear from the Holosun & Primary Arms team-up. If the overwhelming popularity of their first joint endeavor is any indicator, this is merely the beginning of these 2 successful companies joining forces and in the future, there will be many innovative products to follow.

In all fairness, many customers who purchase this model do not have a need for a bullet drop compensation reticle. But there’s a certain appeal in owning a unique device like this.

The user need not to worry about complicated warranties that sometimes come as a necessary evil of these kinds of company collaborations. The warranty period of Holosun Paralow HS503G ACSS is no different from the rest of Holosun’s red dot products. If you detect any issues, just send the device back to us at Optics Trade and we’ll take care of the rest!
