Holosun Infiniti HS401 vs. HS402 Models | Optics Trade Debates

Hello and welcome to another Optics Trade Debates video. Today, we’ll talk about differences between Holosun Infiniti HS401 and HS402 model families.

For the main part, the models in these two families are nearly the same. They have an aluminium housing. Their intended use is on AR platforms and civilian rifles; and this is also why the mounting height cannot be adjusted. Both model families feature the standard 2 MOA reticle and offer 12 illumination intensity levels to choose from, 2 of which are NVD compatible. The battery life in both model families is 50.000 hours.

Let’s move straight to the point. The HS401 models have a visible laser (HS401G5 in green and HS401R5 in red colour) and are powered by a CR2032 battery inside a battery tray. The control buttons are moved to the top of the device.

The Shake Awake™ function is not available in the HS401 models. But they do feature the basic auto turn-off so the device will power down after 10 hours of no movement in order to preserve the already impressive battery life. The HS402 models however, will also seamlessly return to ‘active mode’ as soon as motion is detected.

Note that the HS402 model family is the only one with a model that uses a solar panel and with that, HS402C can be used without a battery, as long as there is sufficient light available.
