We covered the diopter setting on binoculars in general in another segment. Normal binoculars usually have the diopter setting only on one tube, while laser rangefinding binoculars have diopter setting on both tubes.
They are similar to Porro prism binoculars, in the sense that they have the diopter setting separated on each eyepiece, however, they still feature a central focusing knob.
Laser rangefinding binoculars have a display for the reading of the measurement in one of the tubes.
On most rangefinding binoculars, the diopter setting has a red mark for one eye and white for the other. The diopter setting ring which has a white mark works in the same way as on conventional binoculars and is meant to make the object clear. The red diopter setting works on the display.
